On 26 and 27 November 2017 it will be elected in the Athens Bar Association the President and the Board of Directors for the next four years. Almost 21.000 lawyers, members of the Athens Bar Association, will be called to vote for the president and the board.

Themis Sofos, Ph.D., is a candidate for President of the Athens Bar Association and has formed a solid team of lawyers (ERGATIKOI), who are determined to support him and to stand as members of the board of directors of the Athens Bar Association.

Our initiative took its name (“Ergatikoi”, ie. Labour”) from the experience, vision and character of the lawyers who support it. Persons who have worked many years in the field of law, with scientific and professional engagement, social sensitivity and solidarity, with competitive mood, dialogue and active public intervention, highlighting the real institutional role of the Athens Bar Association.

ERGATIKOI meet all the standards of education and training that prepare members of law professions with the particular knowledge and skills necessary to perform their specific role within the law society. In addition, ERGATIKOI are subject to strict codes of conduct, enshrining rigorous ethical and moral obligations.

Professional standards of practice and ethics for a particular field are typically agreed upon and maintained through widely recognized professional associations. Following the announcement of our Principles, we communicate the Responsibility Areas and the persons responsible for their supervision and implementation, with high sense of duty, study and preparation.

We all ERGATIKOI are ready for immediate and non-negotiable implementation in the daily practice of the measures we propose and the innovative solutions that are appropriate to improve the daily routine of the Greek Attorneys and to upgrading the prestige of the Law Firms and Offices.

In usual personalised tacticisms and ad hominem criticism, we will not respond in a personal way, but exclusively at an institutional level, prioritizing our specific program and innovation. After the elections of the Athens Bar Association, the lawyer’s routine will change and the status of the Greek Law firm & office is upgraded within the Greek society.
